Street Line is a call center designed to combat the violence in my city by addressing the root of the problems.
Streetline, a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization, is a call center here to help change the mindset of those with a sense of despondency over the violence and crime that is plaguing Washington DC. Our call center is open to individuals who are addicted to hanging out on street corners, stairwells, store fronts, and all other places that leave them vulnerable to falling into detrimental habits. Our mission is to turn callers into clients and steer people addicted to hanging on street corners to a more productive lifestyle.
Speak with individuals and provide alternatives to prevent or stop acts of violence against one another or acts of aggression in the community or society.
Cultivating a supportive relationship with an experienced staff person for guidance, advice, and assistance with personal or professional development.
Learn behavior modification techniques that will strengthen a person mentally and emotionally to promote well-being and positive change.
Direct or recommend a caller to another person, organization, or resource for a specific service, assistance, or support. Street Line staff will have access to a directory of agencies in the city to ensure individuals are guided to the resources that best serve their needs.
Guide individuals towards a more comprehensive and non-violent resolution to their differences, aiming to facilitate understanding and cooperation in addressing conflicting issues or disputes.
